Grab a slice—and maybe a mozzarella stick or two—at this trendy new pizzeria!

Zazzy’s Pizza, an NYC-based eatery that brings together street culture and modern takes on comfort food, has opened its first two locations on the Lower East Side and Greenwich Village. Like traditional NYC pizzerias, Zazzy’s aims to be the neighborhood spot for casual gatherings and entertainment for the community. The restaurant was developed by pizza enthusiast and owner Jonathan Gabel along with Master Pizzaiolo Domenico Tolomeo, a first-generation Italian American who comes from a long line of master bread makers.

The restaurant is vegan-friendly, and the menu features a plant-based section that includes items like meatless meatballs (available both as a pizza topping or served on its own with house-made tomato sauce, vegan parmesan cheese, and fresh basil), vegan mozzarella sticks served with house-made marinara sauce, hearts of palm “calamari” served with a lemon aioli sauce, and pepperoncini poppers (fried pepperoncini stuffed with sun-dried tomato vegan cream cheese and served with a side of homemade vegan ranch dressing for dipping).

A third Zazzy’s location will open on the Upper East Side this summer. Follow them on Instagram (@zazzyspizza) for all of the latest updates!
