Vegan Burger Joint Opens in Santa Monica
Monty’s Good Burger is arguably one of the best vegan burger restaurants in the game. Monty’s offers a simple menu featuring vegan milkshakes, burgers, loaded fries, root beer floats, and fried chicken sandwiches.
The new location is within walking distance from the beach and the Santa Monica pier. You can visit the new spot at 123 Broadway, Santa Monica, CA 90401. The shop is open from 11am-11pm Sunday-Wednesday, and 11am-midnight Thursday-Saturday to serve you late-night vegan goodness!
This new Monty’s outpost is the brand’s sixth location. You can also find a Monty’s store in Culver City, Koreatown, Echo Park, West Hollywood, and Riverside.
Monty’s: Home of the Best Vegan Burger in LA
Monty’s Good Burger has been an LA favorite since opening in 2018. Its simple menu is reminiscent of another famous California burger joint and has become just as revered in Southern California. While the Monty’s menu used to consist of only burgers, fries, and milkshakes, the brand has continued to add more menu items every year. Recent additions include chicken tenders and oat matcha latte shakes. Make sure to check out their secret menu too, where you can find loaded fries and tater tots.
In 2021, Monty’s was the VegOut Awards winner for Best Burger. The winning cheeseburger features an Impossible 2.0 patty, Follow Your Heart cheese, a house-made burger spread, and all the burger fixings.
Monty’s continues to expand its chain of restaurants, opening new locations every year. In addition to serving up burgers, Monty’s has an apparel line that has something of a cult following. Check out Monty’s online store to browse the full collection of vegan clothing.

Cayla has been writing for VegOut since 2020 and has been plugged into the LA vegan food scene since Veggie Grill was pretty much the only vegan restaurant in the city. Aside from writing articles, Cayla enjoys embracing their inner 85-year-old by listening to classical music, making playlists for their friends, and staying active through swimming, hiking, cycling, and yoga. In their free time, Cayla likes writing poetry, learning about outdoor survival and alternative lifestyles, and is always searching for the best loaf of sourdough bread.
