Vegan dairy alternative brand Miyoko’s Creamery just launched new cheeses and oat milk butter.
Their new Farmhouse Cheddar and Pepper Jack cheeses are the first items to be launched in their new line of everyday cheeses, and are made using cultured legumes and oats, making them the brand’s first nut-free options. Available in slices, shreds, and cheese blocks, these new varieties taste, melt, and function like their dairy counterparts, and can be used in all the same ways.
"We're at a pivotal moment in the plant-based movement, where we need to start appealing more to flexitarians by creating products that give them the taste satisfaction of the dairy cheeses they are used to," said Miyoko’s Founder and CEO Miyoko Schinner. "These new cheeses we're launching have a taste and price that make them competitive with traditional dairy, and will help us cross that chasm to reach omnivores."
Miyoko’s Oat Butter is also formulated to function like its dairy counterpart. Available in two styles—Garlic Parm and Hint of Sea Salt—the new oat milk-based spreadable butters come in 12 and 7 oz tubs.
