Melt's new vegan cheese spreads come in Spicy Queso and Mozzarella Garlic Herb varieties and will hit store shelves in late August, with locations to be announced soon. The spread can be enjoyed hot or cold on toast or sandwiches, and as a dip with veggies or crackers. The product is organic, non-GMO, and made with either red lentils and chickpeas, providing 3 grams of plant-based protein per serving. The cheesy concoction is dairy-free, contains no cholesterol, and has 50% less fat when compared to its dairy counterpart.

Melt is also working on more new vegan cheese products. Melt told VegOut, “1 pound blocks, sliced and shredded Cheddary and Mozz made with chickpea and red lentil are in the works and will likely be available in early 2021.”
