Celebrity chef Matthew Kenney is adding to his collection of plant-based restaurants in Los Angeles. His latest LA project—Sestina—is a pasta and wine bar concept opening in Culver City this November. The menu will merge comfort food pasta dishes with small plates and desserts, accompanied by a sustainable wine program. The open kitchen floor plan will allow guests to dine in the presence of the bustling kitchen and glass-enclosed pasta bar, watching chefs create noodle dishes before their eyes. The decor is chic and minimalistic—staying true to Kenney’s style. Ample patio seating will also be available.

Kenney elaborated, “Sestina offers a healthy, plant-based adaptation of universally-loved Italian classics, using authentic techniques and recipes that remain true to the cuisine, and impeccably-sourced ingredients. Honoring traditional styles while constantly experimenting with new dishes is what makes it unique, not just in the plant-based market, but the restaurant industry as a whole.”
The concept will also feature an online marketplace and meal kit program to serve all kinds of diners—those who enjoy an evening out, and those who prefer to cook at home using the highest quality vegan ingredients. This digital portal will offer ready-to-cook kits and bottled craft cocktails.
Sestina’s extensive beverage program boasts organic and biodynamic wines along with a creative cocktail menu.
