Celebrity chef and restaurateur Matthew Kenney is opening two vegan restaurants in Baltimore, MD on July 1. Under the Matthew Kenney Cuisine umbrella, Double Zero and Liora will be the first Matthew Kenney restaurants in Baltimore. The establishments will take root in two adjoining spaces within Baltimore’s downtown Inner Harbor.
This will be the fourth location of Double Zero—Kenney’s hit pizza concept that showcases wood-fired Neapolitan-style pizzas, chopped salads, and an impressive wine list. The atmosphere is chic, a little rowdy, and perfect for a night out.
Liora is a new concept unique to Baltimore. The menu will reflect local cuisine with plant-based iterations of staples such as vegan crab cakes and barbeque-based mains. Diners can also expect Matthew Kenney classics that remain a constant throughout his dozens of restaurants including the kelp noodle cacio e pepe and Plant Burger. Like Double Zero, Liora will also offer an extensive wine list of organic and biodynamic wines.
These two openings come on the heels of other MKC restaurant openings in other parts of the world. In Costa Mesa, CA, Kenney converted an old Del Taco drive-thru into a casual vegan concept (Veg’d). In 2020, he opened concepts in New York City, San Francisco, Los Angeles, and Buenos Aires.
