Maryland Vegan Restaurant Week returns this Friday, February 5th, bigger and tastier than ever!

Founders of the biannual event, Samantha Claassen of Golden West Cafe and Naijha Wright-Brown of Land of Kush, are welcoming any and all Maryland restaurants open for business to offer vegan options to their customers and pushing the envelope by running the event through February 28th. Nearly a whole month! That’s more than enough time to grab your mask and best foodie friend to pick up your local favorite vegan fare, or try a new plant-based option from a popular hot spot.

You won’t find basic house salads on these menus, though many whole-food options will be available. Encouraging all of Maryland’s foodies to adopt a more plant-based lifestyle, restaurants will be pulling out all of the stops to wow diners with their favorite breakfast, lunch, and dinner classics—minus the meat and dairy, of course. Vegan nacho mac pizza? Check! Raspberry pistachio doughnuts? Check! Chickun tenders and cornbread? Check, please!

Fighting to help restaurants stay afloat during this time, the founders are sharing each of the registered participants’ logos and websites on their website and accepting participants via a sliding payment scale ranging from a $19-$99 fee. Registration is still open, with over 30+ vegan and now vegan-friendly restaurants lined up with menu options including tacos, baked goods, pizza, chocolate, sushi, and a burger from VegOut Awards “Best Burger” nominee, PLNT Burger. For a full list of locations and menus, check out the Maryland Vegan Restaurant Week’s website or tag a restaurant you’d love to see participate on Instagram.
