L.A.’s Greenbar Distillery Pivots to Produce Hand Sanitizer for Front Line Workers
Vegan-friendly distillery Greenbar Distillery pivots to making hand sanitizer. Greenbar Distillery, LA’s original spirits producer, is working in conjunction with Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti’s office to coordinate distribution of sanitizer to organizations working the front lines.
To date, Greenbar has produced 40,000 liters (40 totes) of hand sanitizer. Thirty of those totes (or 9,990,000 uses worth) went directly to the California Grocers Association. The remaining product will be distributed among organizations such as City of Hope Hospital, LA Housing Authority, Edwards Airforce Base, LA Sheriff’s Department, the Rancho Cucamonga California Highway Patrol, and other front line workers and first responders. Hand sanitizer will not be distributed directly to the public.
