Jason Momoa Launches Sustainable Vegan Sneakers Made from Algae
Being sustainable just got even sexier, with Aquaman heartthrob Jason Momoa launching a line of vegan sneakers!
Climbing apparel brand SoILL has partnered with Jason Momoa to launch two limited-edition vegan sneakers made from algae. The stylish sneaks are launched in partnership with Bloom, a company on a mission to maintain healthy ecosystems and reduce water pollution by turning harmful algae bloom into sustainable materials.
Jason Mamoa has long been a passionate voice raising awareness about plastic pollution and waste reduction and has his own plastic-free water company, Mananalu. The sustainable Unity Purple and Yaya Lavender kicks are part of the ILL x On the Roam collection and feature an organic cotton upper, Bloom algae insoles, and biodegradable outsoles.
The collection is available for pre-order now, and the shoes will ship in June.
