Instagrammer Launches T-Shirt Line to Support Vegan Restaurants in Need

Colin Moore—the creative mind behind the popular Instagram account @veganbuffaloboys—has grown tired of seeing countless vegan restaurants being forced to close their doors due to the pandemic. He has whipped up a creative idea to bring funds to vegan restaurants in need in hopes that the plant-based community can come together and help keep some of these spots open. Moore and several of his friends (including pro skater Kevin Long) have created a website selling bootleg t-shirts of various vegan restaurants and are passing along all of the proceeds to those businesses.

The sale was originally going to be for one week only, but the movement has garnered such support that it’s already been extended for another week, and there are talks of doing a second round of shirts once these sell out. The restaurants that are currently being featured on the shirts are Veggie Castle, Veggie Galaxy, Graze, Modern Love, and Big Mood. Several of these restaurants will be using the proceeds to renovate patios or give their staff bonuses, while others will be paying forward the donations to animal sanctuaries and other nonprofits.

Keep an eye on the @veganbuffaloboys Instagram account to see which restaurants will be featured next. If you see one of your favorite spots on the site, grab a shirt and rep it knowing 100% of the proceeds went to keeping that restaurant afloat.
