Impossible Foods is coming to a grocery store near you! That’s right, the wait is finally over, and it couldn’t have come at a better time! This award-winning plant-based meat company made its grocery store debut back in September 2019 at select stores. And when we say select, we mean SELECT! But starting Friday, April 17th, Impossible Foods will roll out their products in 777 additional grocery stores in California, Nevada, and the greater Chicago area.

Here’s where you can find their products:

  • All Albertsons, Vons, Pavilions and Gelson’s Markets in Southern California
  • All Safeway stores in Northern California
  • All Safeway stores in Nevada
  • All Jewel-Osco stores in the greater Chicago area, and in portions of eastern Iowa and northwest Indiana
  • All Wegmans stores along the Eastern seaboard
  • All Fairway Markets in the New York City region

With this new retail expansion, Impossible Foods will now be sold in almost 1,000 grocery stores––that represents a 500% increase in their retail footprint! The president of Impossible Foods, Dennis Woodside, shared “being in retail is important for us to reach more and more consumers, make them aware of our product, encourage them to take Impossible home, and have the same experience a chef can have at a restaurant.”

Their 12oz packages of plant-based meat are sold for $8.99-$9.99 and make for the perfect source of protein and flavor for any meal! When those who are unfamiliar with plant-based eating try dishes with Impossible meat, they are often impressed with the beef-like taste and texture! Now that there is an exponential increase in access to Impossible products, it might encourage more people to eat more plants. And with most everyone cooking from home, this is a great time to get creative in the kitchen!
