Highland Park will be welcoming a new vegan establishment this weekend, as Hinterhof German Kitchen and Beer Garden opens its doors on Saturday, January 5. The restaurant and beer garden will be offering a vegan take on traditional German cuisine and create the environment of a genuine German beer hall.
Hinterhof’s premises will include an indoor portion, as well as an outdoor beer garden. Owner Matthias Brandt, a German native, took inspiration from Germany in designing and naming the Hinterhof, as the word ‘hinterhof’ in German refers to a backyard, often in the context of an outdoor space to hang out and spend time with friends to talk, eat, etc.
Serving breakfast, lunch, dinner, German beers on tap, coffee, and more, the restaurant’s menu will include wiener schnitzel, sausages, fresh-baked strudel, pretzels, buckwheat waffles, pancakes, tofu scrambles, and more. While during January, they will only be open for dinner, in February, breakfast, lunch, and brunch will also be available.
Hinterhof is located at 4939 York Blvd. Los Angeles, CA.
