Gov. Gavin Newsom Orders Los Angeles Restaurants to Close Dine-in

On Wednesday, July 1, Governor Gavin Newsom ordered the immediate closure of indoor dining at LA county restaurants, bars, tasting rooms, and more. In addition, the closure will be mandatory in 18 other California counties that have been on a watch list as well. This decision remains in effect for a minimum of three weeks.

On Wednesday, July 1, Governor Gavin Newsom ordered the immediate closure of indoor dining at LA county restaurants, bars, tasting rooms, and more. In addition, the closure will be mandatory in 18 other California counties that have been on a watch list as well. This decision remains in effect for a minimum of three weeks.

Less than a month after the reopening of local bars and eateries, this second shutdown follows a spike in the number of area hospitalizations and deaths, evidence that the disease continues to spread at rapid rates.

Restaurants will be allowed to remain open for takeout and delivery as well as for limited outdoor seating. Bars are required to close all operations.
