Founder of Slutty Vegan Opens New Cocktail Bar in Atlanta This Month
Cocktails served in Ferris wheels? Count us in!
This month, Slutty Vegan founder Aisha “Pinky” Cole will open Bar Vegan inside Ponce City Market. The bar will offer classics such as cosmopolitans, margaritas, lemon drop martinis, and old fashioned cocktails with a vegan twist. In addition to hard liquor libations, Bar Vegan will also have vegan beer and wine, non-alcoholic cocktails, and ingenious drinks served in a fire extinguisher, Ferris wheel, as well as in an active volcano!
Expect to find popular items from Slutty Vegan on the food menu, along with a selection of vegan sandwiches, salads, egg rolls, and cauliflower wings. Bar Vegan will be open daily for lunch and dinner, and brunch will be served on Sundays.
Since founding Slutty Vegan in 2018 as a food delivery service and launching the first brick-and-mortar location in 2019, Cole has opened three locations around Atlanta and is currently working on creating a fourth Slutty Vegan eatery in Birmingham, Alabama.

Tofu Tikkā Recipe
Tikkā is a northern Indian dish involving marinated protein or vegetables cooked in a tandoor, or clay oven. My version is made with marinated tofu baked on skewers in a conventional oven to mimic the traditional cooking vessel, which adds a char and smokiness to the dish. Using smoked paprika further pays tribute to the traditional cooking technique. This tikkā is best served hot with cooling mint chutneys and is delicious in lettuce wraps as well. For lettuce wraps, dice the tofu and vegetables into smaller pieces after cooking and fill the lettuce leaves just before serving.
