Fabalish Launches New Vegan Ranch and Queso
Plant-based brand Fabalish recently added ranch and queso to their current lineup of aquafaba-based dips. The chef-inspired company now offers a total of four organic spread options—Ranch, Queso, Tzatziki, and Fab-a-Dip. Each Fabalish product begins with a base of cold-pressed high-oleic sunflower oil and aquafaba (aka cooked chickpea water). The cooking liquid contains starch and protein structures from the garbanzo beans, creating a strong, viscous solution. The ingredient adds structure to Fabalish dips and creates a thick, rich texture while remaining totally cruelty-free.
Free from the top eight allergens, these plant-based products sport impressive ingredient lists. The novel ranch dip contains a variety of herbs and spices, including onion, garlic, dill, parsley, chive, and kombu seaweed. The vegan queso offers a warmer flavor profile with non-GMO nutritional yeast, garlic, red pepper, chili, and cayenne. Both options are perfect for dipping, dunking, spreading, and layering.
Of course, these stellar dips pair nicely with crackers, chips, and pretzels, but the creative spreads provide plenty of out-of-the-box applications. Add them to kid-friendly lunch bags or meal-prepped adult work eats for a midday pick-me-up. Slather Fabalish on loaded handhelds like burgers, wraps, and pita sandwiches in place of traditional condiments. Try mixing these dips into big, hearty salads as a creamy dressing option—we see the ranch option being a huge hit here. Or go a totally different direction and craft an aesthetic appetizer board featuring Fabalish and treat your guests to these new dreamy spreads surrounded by dippable, dunkable snack foods.
It almost goes without saying, but we can’t miss another highly recommended dip opportunity—falafel. Pair these creamy spreads with Fabalish falafel for a synergistic combination of chickpea-based patties and aquafaba dips. This combo is perfect for kids and adults alike. Afternoon snacking, anyone?
