Lick It Up—an El Paso, TX-based vegan Mexican restaurant—is expanding by way of food truck to Austin, TX. The permanent restaurant-on-wheels will be centrally located outside of the legendary hot spot, Spider House Bar & Ballroom. Lick It Up Austin’s grand opening takes place on Friday, August 21. The food truck menu includes the business’s signature Mexican/American street food staples such as tortas, burgers, burritos, and more.
Edgar Delfin, founder of Lick It Up, said, “My team and I have been looking to bring a touch of our good comfort food from our home in El Paso to Austin for quite some time now, and I’d like to build a strong community in this city as we have done back at home.”
Lick It Up began as a food truck before evolving into a brick-and-mortar inside the International Bar in Downtown El Paso. The joint has been featured on the Food Network smash hit Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives and given a rave review by celebrity chef Guy Fieri.
Lick It Up Austin is located outside the Spider House Cafe & Ballroom at 2908 Fruth St, Austin, TX 78705. Hours are noon-8pm, seven days a week. For more information, follow @lickitupaustin on Instagram and Facebook or visit lickitupeats.com.
