Known for their all-vegan burgers, sandwiches, and pastries, The Cinnamon Snail operated as a food truck and food court counter in NYC. The owner, Adam Sobel, decided to close up shop back in March. Now, the beloved vegan eatery has teamed up with Nuchas (an NYC-based but internationally inspired handheld food company) to provide vegan empanadas and croissants that ship nationwide.

“I’ve been doing a lot of cooking and experimentation during this past year of Covid lockdown time, and this line of empanadas and croissants was many fun months in the making of tinkering and play time. I’m planning to add to this line of products over the coming months, adding bottled sauces and marinades, other dessert items, and a really nice bourbon hazelnut pain au chocolat. I’m really happy to have found a way to keep bringing explosive vegan flavors to folks, and especially delighted to have found a way to ship to people outside of the local NYC area,” Chef Adam Sobel, founder of The Cinnamon Snail, told VegOut.

Empanada flavors include options like lemongrass pulled jackfruit with kaffir lime and Thai basil, seitan al pastor with grilled pineapple, jalapeño, and smoked chili marinade, and croissants with orange blossom chamomile glaze. Both empanadas and croissants come with eight to a pack and are ready to heat and serve upon delivery. Items can be ordered at cinnamonsnailxnuchas.com.
