Chipotle Teams up with e.l.f. Cosmetics to Launch a Menu-Inspired Vegan Makeup Line
For once, guac is not extra! At least not in the new e.l.f. Cosmetics x Chipotle makeup collab launching March 10th!
The 100% vegan and cruelty-free makeup company and vegan-friendly fast casual chain are partnering for a second time after selling out in four minutes with their first collab last spring. This time, the brands will sell four limited-edition products along with an “Eyes, Chips, Face” burrito bowl at Chipotle, marking the first time the food chain has created a menu item with a brand.
The makeup collection will include an eye shadow palette with 12 colors mirroring Chipotle’s vegan ingredients—white rice, brown rice, pinto beans, black beans, sofritas, fajita veggies, mild salsa, green salsa, hot salsa, corn salsa, guac, and lettuce. The new line will also feature an avocado makeup sponge, a makeup bag, and a plumping hot salsa-inspired “Make It Hot” lip gloss.
The vegan “Eyes, Chips, Face” burrito bowl will launch with the line exclusively in the Chipotle app and will be sold at locations nationwide through March 17th. Included in the bowl are vegan-friendly favorites—white rice, pinto beans, chili-corn salsa, tomatillo-red salsa, guac, lettuce, and a side of chips. Pro tip: Break up some chips and mix them into your bowl! “[The new menu item] celebrates our dual commitment to support plant-based lifestyles and responsibly sourced products, and features fresh and real ingredients,” said Kory Marchisotto, e.l.f. CMO.
The budget-friendly collection is priced from $8-$18 and will be available on elfcosmetics.com, chipotlegoods.com, and mobile shopping platform, thentwrk.com. No word if the lip gloss is chips & guac smudge-proof, but we’re willing to take our chances!
