A new vegan restaurant is serving up pub food and brews in Boston, Massachusetts. PlantPub was founded by Chef Mary Dumont, craft beer entrepreneur Pat McAuley, and impact investor Sebastiano Cossia Castiglioni, who teamed up to create a concept where plant-based comfort food meets refreshing craft beers.

Cauliflower Wings and Chicken Fried Sandwiches

The PlantPub menu features a wide range of craft beer and non-alcoholic brews, as well as comfort food classics and desserts like cauliflower wings, chicken fried sandwiches, loaded nachos, pizzas topped with buffalo cauliflower, and ice cream sandwiches. While the menu emphasizes a pub theme, the restaurant also offers globally inspired dishes such as chicken tahini bowls with shredded beets, carrots, avocado, garlic hummus, spicy chickpeas, kale, almonds, chicken, and tahini dressing, as well as kimchi burgers stacked with cheese, spicy sesame slaw, fried pickles, and kimchi aioli on an artisan bun. For the patty, guests have the option to choose between a house-blend veggie patty or an Impossible burger patty.

PlantPub’s Beer List

PlantPub’s beer list was developed by McAuley, the craft beer and spirits expert of the team. The list includes a variety of vegan-friendly IPAs from local breweries and beyond, such as Rescue Club Brewing Co, Vermont Beer Makers, Vitamin Sea Brewing Elusive, and Burlington Beer Co. In addition, PlantPub also serves hard-pressed juice, wines by the glass, and non-alcoholic beverages.

The restaurant’s commitment to eco-conscious living is also reflected in its interior, which features countertops made with Durum recycled wheat and walls made with Canna Grove Hemp Board (the eatery planted a tree for every board used in the space).

PlantPub is located at 675 West Kendall Street, Cambridge, MA 02142 in the heart of Kendall Square. Visit plantpub.com to explore the menu, opening hours, and more!
