Carl’s Jr. is set to go above and Beyond this Earth Day (4/22) as the fast-food chain partners with plant-based meat giant, Beyond Meat, hosting a one-day only restaurant and menu takeover!
Carl’s Jr., which already features several plant-based burger and side options, is stepping up their commitment to plant-based alternatives in a big way this Earth Day as one Los Angeles location will be Beyond-themed and wrapped for the occasion. Even better, the chain will be offering FREE Beyond Meat menu items for all guests from 6am-9pm (while supplies last). All Beyond items qualify, with a limit of three items per customer.
“We are excited to give our fans a fun, delicious way to celebrate Earth Day this year with a full plant-based meat experience at Carl’s Jr.,” said Patty Trevino, senior vice president of brand marketing at CKE Restaurants. “With nearly one-third of consumers identifying as flexitarian, we continue to innovate on new ways for our guests to enjoy our iconic charbroiled burgers with our Beyond Meat partnership.”

Carl’s Jr. has long been a leader in plant-based menu options for mainstream fast-food chains. The burger joint was the first national quick-service restaurant to offer a plant-based burger patty—the Beyond Famous Star. It has since been a massive hit, selling over 12 million Beyond Burgers across the country, with growing demand.
The one-day only Beyond Meat Earth Day celebration will take place at a Carl’s Jr. in Glendale (424 W. Los Feliz Rd., Glendale, CA 91204). For those outside of Los Angeles, Carl’s Jr. is offering any Beyond Burger for $5 at locations throughout the US by signing up for the chain’s email list.
