Dating for vegan singles just got a whole lot easier thanks to the team at Beyond Meat and Tinder!
The dating app Tinder has teamed up with the popular brand Beyond Meat to give users the opportunity to plan a plant-based date with their matches. After recognizing a rise in singles connecting over their love for the environment, Tinder is introducing a new Plant-Based Passion card in the app, which will allow singles to seek out matches who share interest in a vegan lifestyle. In celebration of Earth Day, Tinder and Beyond Meat will give the first 500 members in the US who match with the Plant-Based Passion card in their profile a Plant-Based Picnic Pack for two, which will include date night swag and a free voucher for Beyond Meat products.
“We’ve seen an increasing amount of love for environmentally friendly dates in member bios, including a desire to meet up with fellow plant-based matches,” said Udi Milo, Vice President of Product and Growth at Tinder. “Now, daters can share their passion for sustainable living, one plant-based meal at a time.”
Women on Tinder report that both vegan and vegetarian diets are among the most attractive traits in a potential match, both ranking within the top 10 Passions in a match on Tinder in 2020.
Tinder began introducing “Passions” in the summer of 2020 as a way to offer members the chance to share more about themselves with potential matches. Users can add up to five passions to their profile, which allows singles to connect with potential partners whose interests and values are more closely aligned. The Plant-Based Passion card will be available for members to add to their profile on April 22. Happy dating!
