Atlanta Vegan Restaurants Give 1,000+ Vegan Meals to Youth and Seniors
Atlanta Food Truck Park partners with The ATL Vegan Small Business Collective to feed 1,000+ youth and seniors plant-based meals. Tan Bowers, owner of Atlanta Food Truck Park founded the initiative to help youth in the Atlanta area.
Originally, the free lunch was planned for youth only, but on April 27th the first event welcomed adults, youth, and seniors. Warm plant-based meals were given away to those in need to provide comfort and nourishment during these difficult times.
The next event, Community Lunch Hour, will be held June 10th. During this gathering, more than 200 vegan meals will be distributed. The hot lunch consists of a vegan burger, bag of chips, fresh fruit, applesauce, and a warm baked vegan cookie. Free masks will be provided at the event as well.
