Awareness Film Festival

October 3-13

Awareness Film Festival highlights a multitude of indie flicks and documentaries with a purpose. With films focused on sustainability, beauty standards, poverty, and more, this 10 day festival will bring attention to topics you’ve never before considered. Make sure to catch the film #PowerPlant on closing night which explores the possibility of a plant-based society.

Vegtoberfest

Vegtoberfest brings a taste of Germany’s iconic Oktoberfest to sunny Hawthrone with tens of local beers and an epic pop-up lineup that includes Swamiji Pizza, The Vegan Hooligans, Srey Vegan, and more! And make sure to stop by the VegOut LA booth to say hi and grab a copy of our magazine!

Last time we highlighted Señoreata’s vegan Cuban sandwiches, but this time we’re here to let you know about their yuca fries, which are light and fluffy on the inside, crispy and seasoned on the outside, and served with a side of pungent garlic aioli. If you’ve never had yuca fries, now’s your time to give ‘em a chance, because they can be even more irresistible than potato fries. I KNOW, SHOCKING, but it’s the month of Halloween afterall!
