Plant Junkie opened January 8th at the Urbanspace NYC food hall, and they are serving up 100% plant-based comfort food. Entrées include the Bangkok Curry (peanut noodles, baked red curry tofu, edamame, Thai cabbage slaw, coconut kale, and crispy lotus root) and The Hipster (sandwich with a crispy “chicken” cutlet, lettuce, tomato and ranch), among others. You’ll also find indulgent sides such as Mac-n-"Cheese" (topped with panko and crispy shallots). Open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, Plant Junkie offers gluten-free options as well—just ask!

Beyond Sushi opens its seventh brick-and-mortar location at 1429 Third Ave on the Upper East Side next month. Planned to have seating for 50, this will be the restaurant’s first site with a full liquor license. Executive Chef Guy Vaknin and his wife Tali Vaknin bring their growing kosher, plant-based brand to the area, filing a hole that was left when Candle 79 closed earlier this year.
