Starbucks Is Now Testing a Vegan Breakfast Sandwich

Starbucks Is Now Testing a Vegan Breakfast Sandwich

Oct 21, 2020 BY: Kayla Pasko

Starbucks has begun selling the new Plant Powered Breakfast Sandwich at a location in Issaquah, WA. The sandwich is made with a mung bean-based egg, a plant-based patty, and dairy-free cheese on an English muffin (retails at $5.45). Starbucks also partnered with Impossible Foods back in June for a nationwide release of the Impossible Breakfast Sandwich, which is made with the plant-based Impossible patty, however is not fully vegan as the sandwich is made with egg and dairy products.

In addition to the Plant Powered Breakfast Sandwich, the Issaquah location is also offering Chickpea Bites as well as Plant Powered Potato Bake bites, which mimic a quiche and are made with plant-based egg. Customers also have the option of purchasing Miyoko’s Creamery vegan cashew milk cream cheese (Everything and Cinnamon Raisin flavors available in a 1.5oz package) for $1.

The Issaquah Starbucks is located at 1460 NW Gilman Blvd, Ste K1, Issaquah, WA 98027.
