The long-awaited Chicago Vegan Test Kitchen is back to celebrate Valentine's Day after a much needed hiatus during the holidays! Make this year extra special for your Valentine, friends, and family on February 8th from 11-3pm. This is a free event full of local vegan vendors serving up savory eats and the sweetest sweets! Indulge in savory options such as tacos from Vegan Street Food and don't forget to take home some “cheeze” from Cheeze & Thank You, desserts from amazing bakers (NEW vendor alert) and exclusive VegOutChicago Swag! Higher Healing CBD products and upcycled artwork from The Family Vegan make perfect gifts.

Galentine’s Day Pop-up

Celebrate girl power by supporting local vegan vendors! The pop-up will be held from 4-8pm on February 13th at Alice and Friends, an all-vegan restaurant in Chicago that focuses on bringing fusion cuisine while accommodating various allergies! Spend the night indulging in a variety of baked goods, jam & cheese, and special Galentine’s Day surprises! A portion of the proceeds will be donated to Lulu’s Locker Rescue, an animal shelter in the Chicagoland area. Who's ready to spend the night enjoying sweet treats from woman-owned businesses? Gluten-free, soy-free, and organic desserts will be available!

Mindful Baking Sunday Funday Market has a special theme! Treat yourself. Stop by February 15th from 12-4pm. This ongoing event is completely free with vendors rotating each week! The perfect Sunday adventure for hot food and goodies to take home.

ALTHEA’s Valentine’s Day menu is incredible, but we won’t tease you, since they sold out! Here are some other amazing restaurants to celebrate the night:

Fancy Plants Cafe

Longacre Dining Room // Uptown

Join Fancy Plants Cafe for an “Aphrodisiac Dinner” consisting of a 5-course meal priced at $55 (all inclusive). Choose from a seating time of 5pm or 8:30 pm! Dishes on the menu include the Buckwheat Pancakes, Beating Heart Salad, Velvet Cauliflower Soup, and White Bean-Fennel-Artichoke Filled “Purse” (phyllo dough shaped into a “purse” and sauvignon blanc-squash sauce served with broccolini and chestnuts). Dessert is a Pomegranate Chocolate Tart w/ Champagne Whip Cream by Mindful Baking. The night can be made gluten-free on request.

Sunda New Asian

Dine in at Sunda New Asian this Valentine’s Day and order off their REGULAR vegan menu (no vegan options listed on their Valentine’s Day special menu). Vegan-friendly dishes offered daily include Crispy Brussels Sprout Salad, Mushroom Adobo, and Sweet Potato Caterpillar sushi. Sunda is hosting a Vegan Feast on February 26th served family-style at $45. Menu items include Beet & Walnut Maki, Shiitake Edamame Wonton Soup, Malaysian Style Tofu, and Mochi ice cream for dessert! Vegan Feast? Yes, please!

Bad Hunter

West Loop

Bad Hunter strives to provide a veg-forward menu with items clearly labeled with a “v” (vegan, or vegan upon request). Marinated Trumpet Mushroom, Chickpea Agnolotti, and Sunflower Butter Ice Cream Sandwich are all vegan-friendly options on the dinner menu.
