Oct 16, 2019 BY: VegOut Team

It’s time for Orange County’s fifth annual SoCal VegFest! A day packed with music, yoga, drinks, comedians, celebrity chefs, and more vegan food than one person can handle? Sign. Us. UP! But, hey, we don’t just fest, we FEST! So grab your VFFs (vegan friends forever), eco-friendly flatware, and enough sunscreen for the whole plant-based crew, and head on down to Costa Mesa.

We’ve got all the tips on how to SoCal VegFest like a pro.

Pick up a VIP pass!

With your VIP pass, you’ve got the SoCal VegFest equivalent of a Disney FastPass! Why wait with the crowd to enter the event or grab #alltheveganfood? Be the vegan celeb you are—flash your pass and skip to the front of the line.

Bring reusable everything

Pack those reusable bags, containers, water bottles, utensils, and straws! Save the planet, save the turtles, and save some vegan pizza for work the next day!

Recharge the battery pack

Gramworthy shots, notes on new-to-you vendors, and all those texts to find your family and friends will have your phone begging for a recharge. You won’t want to miss out on that shareable Insta story just because your phone died.

Protect your skin

Sunscreen? Check. Sunglasses? Check. Cap or hat? Check and check. SoCal VegFest is an indoor/outdoor event. So—channel your inner Lion King and sing it with us—BE PREPAAAARRRRED!

Order tickets online

Go to socalvegfest.org to purchase tickets. Open your email or Eventbrite app and show your e-ticket at the door. You just saved time for a double scoop. You’re welcome.

Relax and recharge

Bring along a blanket and make a picnic of it. There will be plenty of grass and open areas for creating that perfect outdoor eating vibe.

Think outside the transportation box

Uber, Lyft, bike, carpool, or take the bus (the fairgrounds are convenient to the stop). Not only will you save the time you would have spent looking for a parking spot—more room for vegan tacos!—you’ll have done your eco-friendly deed for the day.

Leave the pups at home

The OC health department has a no dogs at the foodfest policy. Service dogs only.

Come ready to explore

Discover new vegan products and vendors, enjoy loads of free samples, and expand your soul with all the amazing talent.

Volunteer

Volunteers snag free admission, a festival tee-shirt, and a behind-the-scenes experience of the event. Head on over to their website to sign up!

Bring your family, bring your kids!
