The popular organic health food brand Nutiva has just released a vegan ghee, making the global list of foods that haven’t yet been successfully veganized even smaller! Made from coconut and avocado oils, this plant-based ghee comes packed with healthy fats.

Ghee is traditionally made by separating the fat from the oil in butter, the resulting oil being great for frying and cooking at high-heat temperatures. Nutiva’s vegan version is made with turmeric, sunflowers, and naturally-fermented plants, which aid in giving it that traditional ghee flavor. It can withhold temperatures up to 450 degrees, so it’s perfect for crisping those veggies in your stir-fry or melting and drizzling over popcorn for snacking while you watch The Great British Bake Off.
