Lizzo is now vegan. She recently shared a TikTok video featuring what she eats in a day as a new vegan, to show her followers what plant-based eating looks like.
In the video, Lizzo starts her day with a breakfast smoothie (greens, coconut water and frozen fruit), followed by lunch, a fresh salad featuring veggies and avocado for healthy fats. Her snacks include hummus and Lesser Evil Paleo Puffs as a vegan alternative to her favorite Hot Cheetos for a healthier option after lunch. Dinner is high protein chickpeas, Shroomeats mushroom balls, quinoa, and leftover salad with a diet cola. Afterward, she whips up a protein smoothie (with frozen strawberries, peanut butter, oats, oat milk, and vegan protein powder). Lizzo ends the video asking for justice for Breonna Taylor.
In addition to the recent TikTok video featuring what she eats in a day, Lizzo celebrated Juneteenth this year by ordering from her favorite Black-owned LA restaurants. She shared to TikTok several of the vegan dishes, including tacos and pasta from Plate of Hue; chicken tenders, coleslaw, fries, and sandwiches from Lettuce Feast; mac ‘n’ cheese, Jackfruit Ribs, and baked beans from The Fat Vegan; and mozzarella sticks and crispy cauliflower wings from Munchies.
