ALTHEA

700 N Michigan Ave 7th floor, Chicago, IL 60611

Haven’t been to ALTHEA? Now is your chance to experience fine dining full of flavor! Choose a main such as the Chickpea Frittata (topped with green goddess dressing, crisp fuji apples, hemp seeds and locally grown Gotham Greens) or the Spicy Udon with Tempeh (shiitake mushrooms, toasted cashews, watermelon radish, bok choy and togarashi). The Kimchi Pancakes are perfect during brunch. And lets not forget dessert! Ask for the seasonal ice cream or cheesecake—we heard Chocolate Chestnut Cheesecake is on the menu! We recommend you make reservations.

Beatrix

Fulton, Oak Park, River North, and Streeterville

Beatrix is serving up a three-course vegan meal for dinner only! Start off with the Vegan Tomato Soup with ciabatta croutons followed by a comforting main dish of Vegan Truffled Mushroom Risotto (topped with toasted hazelnuts). For dessert, there’s Chia Pudding made with coconut milk and topped with pomegranate. Trivia question—did you know they have a vegan cookie on their regular menu?

Demera Ethiopian Restaurant

Haven’t had a chance to try Ethiopian Cuisine? Vegan options include the Beet Salad, a Vegetarian Messob for two (served with Injera) and an option of Basil-Lime Sorbet as dessert after dinner! What is a Vegetarian Messob? Fresh Ethiopian flatbread called Injera topped with your choice of 6 veggie dishes! Misir-Wat (red lentils stewed in berbere sauce), Kik-Alicha (split yellow peas stewed with onion, garlic and jalapenos) and Gomen (collard greens with onion, garlic and ginger) are some of the most popular items on the menu and yes, they are all vegan!
