Highland Park’s New Vegan Beer Garden, Hinterhof, Opening Soon
Highland Park will be welcoming a new vegan establishment this month, as Hinterhof German Kitchen and Beer Garden opens its doors soon. The restaurant and beer garden will be offering a vegan take on traditional German cuisine and create the environment of a genuine German beer hall.
Hinterhof’s premises will include an indoor portion, as well as an outdoor beer garden. Owner Matthias Brandt, a German native, took inspiration from Germany in designing and naming the Hinterhof, as the word ‘hinterhof’ in German refers to a backyard, often in the context of an outdoor space to hang out and spend time with friends to talk, eat, etc.
Serving breakfast, lunch, dinner, 12 German beers on tap, coffee, and more, the restaurant’s menu will include breakfast items, such as a vegan omelet, schnitzel, potato pancakes, and a traditional German breakfast, along with lunch and dinner items, which include bratwurst, currywurst, wienerschnitzel, bratling, German salads, plus traditional German side dishes. Dessert offerings include strudel, ice cream, and more. All of their sausages and bread are going to be made onsite.
Keep an eye on their Instagram for further updates, including their opening date to be announced.
Hinterhof will be located at 4939 York Blvd. Los Angeles, CA.
