Cena Vegan’s Meat to Be Served at Veggie Grill
Los Angeles’ Cena Vegan will be collaborating with fast-casual restaurant chain Veggie Grill on their newest seasonal menu. Beginning Friday December 14, the plant-based meats company will have their barbacoa ‘meat’ featured in Veggie Grill’s Barbacoa Torta and Barbacoa Tacos—two items on their new winter celebration menu—available at 31 of their nationwide locations.
This is a major step for the highly favored vegan cart, which usually serves their burritos, tacos, nachos, etc. in Highland Park on Tuesdays and Fridays, along with being apart of other pop-ups. “We are honored to be working with Veggie Grill in helping to make a difference in how people eat. And we thank all of you who have followed us on this journey, which began on the streets of Northeast Los Angeles,” said the Cena Vegan team.
At Veggie Grill, the Barbacoa Torta will include Cena’s barbacoa, mashed pinto beans, lettuce, tomato, mashed avocado, and pickled onion on a telera roll. The Barbacoa Tacos will also feature Cena’s barbacoa, along with lettuce, avocado, pickled onion, and fresh limes on tortillas.
Head to your closest Veggie Grill to try the items out.
