8 Vegan Valentine’s Day Specials in Chicago
Valentine’s Day is just around the corner, and we’re looking forward to the special vegan menus! Here are eight spots to pick up vegan Valentine’s Day dinner and treats in Chicago.
Celebrate with the Valentine’s Chocolate menu from ALTHEA. Priced at $55 per person, it boasts hearts of palm ceviche (white chocolate salsa verde, romaine, tortilla crisps), beet and chestnut gnocchi (cacao nib pesto, Castelvetrano olives, rainbow carrots), and more. And to end the night, a decadent truffle slice (hazelnut, dark cherry, caramelized white chocolate, and balsamic).
This vegan pop-up is offering a Love Box for two containing six tacos, Mexican-style corn, Takis elote, and strawberry horchata for $55. Pre-order for pickup at Workshop Apothecary on February 12th. Quantities are limited and will sell out, so check out their menu for your taco fix!
Spirit Elephant’s romantic dinner for two consists of delicata croquettes, board de fromages, bechamel scallop-ini, and lover’s chocolate cake! The prix fixe menu is available February 12th, 13th, and 14th.
Celebrate the night with vegan lasagna! The Lasagna Extravaganza Dinner for one is priced at $25 and includes a main course, a side of roasted Brussels tossed in vegan caper aioli, and garlic bread. The vegan option is clearly labeled and available for pre-order now. We suggest you finish off your meal with a vegan oatmeal cream pie or two!
Herbivore is dropping their Valentine’s Day special this week and pasta lovers rejoice—vegan rigatoni alla vodka (with Italian sausage and peas, topped with goat cheese) made it on the menu! Follow them on Instagram for updates and pickup details.
Pink Pastel is a woman-owned pop-up bakery offering classic Mexican veganized treats—and corazón churros, corazón conchas, heart polvorones, and corazoncito tres leches cake are all available for Valentine ‘s Day. Get your orders in before February 10th!

Pie, Pie My Darling will open for pre-orders from a set Valentine’s Day menu on February 8th at 6pm. A limited amount of cookies, baby cakes, and treats will be offered. They will definitely sell out so set an alarm to snag some goodies for pickup on February 13th.
Mohini, a born and raised vegetarian from Chicago, initially went vegan when faced with a health issue, but stayed vegan for the animals. 19-Year-Old Entrepreneur Opens Gourmet Vegan Bakery in Washington, D.C.
Last March, Chanice McClover-Lee, a 19-year old Howard University student, launched Baked by Chanice, a gourmet vegan treat company that specializes in cookies and custom cakes. Southern California’s first vegan panaderia, Soy Concha Bakery, is launching nationwide shipping. Formerly Vegan by Victoria’s, the business launched in 2018 at Orange County’s SoCal Vegfest and quickly took over a brick-and-mortar in a small Santa Ana strip mall. Since its founding, owner Earvin Lopez has expanded his offerings from Oreo-topped tres leches and crunchy puerquitos to colorful conchas, vegan gansitos (“vegansitos”), jalapeño-stuffed bolillos, and other classic panaderia goods.
Matthew Kenney Opens Two Vegan Restaurants in Baltimore
Celebrity chef and restaurateur Matthew Kenney is opening two vegan restaurants in Baltimore, MD on July 1. Under the Matthew Kenney Cuisine umbrella, Double Zero and Liora will be the first Matthew Kenney restaurants in Baltimore. The establishments will take root in two adjoining spaces within Baltimore’s downtown Inner Harbor.
