Halloween is coming up soon, and what’s Halloween without some sweet treats? Check out some of the great vegan spots across Los Angeles for a variety of desserts. These places are all treats and no tricks!
Rising Hearts Bakery
Culver City
Head to Rising Hearts for vegan cupcakes decorated with brains, eyeballs, graves, and ghosts. In addition to these cupcakes, they also have a special black velvet cupcake. A portion of the proceeds for this cupcake will go to Bat World Sanctuary, an organization that rescues bats and gives lifetime sanctuary to ones who cannot be released back into the wild.
Cocobella Creamery
Hollywood
Cocobella has many Halloween dessert options, especially if you like ice cream. One is their Haunted Black Forest ice cream, which is colored with activated charcoal. Get it in their matching activated charcoal waffle cone, in between two double chocolate chip cookies, or topped with their black currant raspberry macaron. The combinations are endless!
Erin McKenna’s Bakery
Larchmont
Bat chocolate cupcakes, spider web decorated cakes, ghost cupcakes, and an assortment of other creepy confections are available at Erin McKenna’s. And they’re all vegan and gluten-free!
Donut Friend
Highland Park
Donut Friend hits it out of the park (Highland Park, that is) for Halloween with donuts like their vanilla glazed Kandy Korn Donut! You can get it on its own, served with ice cream, or go ahead and grab a dozen to share.
The Bakery Truck
Food Truck — see their Instagram for stops
This vegan and gluten-free food truck offers a classic dessert favorite with one of the most iconic Halloween movie characters. Their Jack Skellington giant chocolate chip cookie is a masterpiece to the eye and the tastebuds with the vanilla and chocolate ganache frosting!
