5 Los Angeles Restaurants Offering DIY Vegan Taco Kits
Cancel your dinner plans, because you’re going to want to pick up one of these vegan taco kits to make at home! Whatever day of the week it is, tacos are ALWAYS the answer, right? Our favorite part about these take-home meal packages is that you get to craft up your ideal taco, add as much extra guac as your heart desires, and eat as many as you want in one sitting––without judgement!
Mama’s International Tamales
Family-owned Mama’s International Tamales is one of our favorite stops for delicious authentic Latin food in LA! Their new vegan taco kit contains three pounds of plant-based meats (Jackfruit Carnitas, Carne Asada, and Al Pastor), rice, refried beans, tortillas, chopped cilantro and onion, salsa verde, salsa roja, and limes. Every package comes with enough food to make 18 tacos, so it’s great for families and friends––but we also won’t criticize you if you order the whole package for yourself! You do you!
Cena Vegan’s pre-cooked Meal Kit for Four is flavorful, easy-to-make, and loved by all! It comes with a pound of your choice of Plant Ranch plant-based protein (Carne Asada, Pollo Asado, or Al Pastor), rice, beans, chips, tortillas, pico de gallo, salsa, chipotle cashew crema, and every vegan’s favorite taco topping … guacamole!! Yep, this time guac isn’t extra––woohoo!
Azulé Taqueria’s Build Your Own Taco Kit can be made vegan when you order it with their Cauliflower Al Pastor! Create your dream tacos using their tasty Cauliflower Al Pastor, tortillas, cilantro, onion, shredded lettuce, lime, rice, and beans. One of our favorite parts about these kits is you can spruce it up with your favorite sauces and toppings at home––we’d recommend Sriracha, nutritional yeast, and your favorite plant-based sour cream!
Sage Plant-Based Bistro
Echo Park, Culver City, Pasadena, and Agoura Hills
You can never go wrong when you order from Sage! For Taco Tuesday (or whatever day you’re craving tacos), order Sage’s Taco Party! This meal kit will supply you with corn tortillas, marinated jackfruit, pico de gallo, pickled cabbage, chopped cilantro and onion, limes, brown rice, black beans, and a side salad. They’re also offering pantry staples, produce boxes, growlers, and more!
