When you’re craving dessert, check out this list of all-vegan sweet spots in the LA area. From ice cream and froyo to cinnamon rolls and cupcakes to pan dulce and more, they’ve got you covered.
Echo Park, Brea, Corona, and Tustin
Did you know there’s a completely-vegan cinnamon roll shop with four locations in Southern California? Yep, that’s Cinnaholic! And when you stop in one of their shops, you won’t be stuck with just a plain vegan cinnamon roll. Instead, you’ll get to create a custom vegan cinnamon roll from a range of signature frosting flavors and toppings to truly make it your own. Frosting flavors range from chocolate to classic cream cheese and more. Toppings include fruits, cookies, sprinkles, etc. They sell brownies, cookies, cookie dough, and drinks too, all of which are also 100% vegan.
For vegan ice cream galore, head to Cocobella Creamery where all the ice cream isn’t just vegan but gluten-free as well. You’ll even find several soy-free and nut-free options! They offer the classics like chocolate and strawberry while also scooping unique ones such as Sunflower Seed Butter Cup and Cookie Monsta (cookie butter ice cream with chocolate chip cookie crumbles). In addition to ice cream, they offer signature sundaes, floats, and custom ice cream cakes available to order to fulfill all your vegan ice cream-related desires.
DTLA and Highland Park
For an all-vegan donut shop, Donut Friend is definitely your go-to. Not only are all their donuts vegan, but so is everything else they serve too (including their ice cream!). Our favorite donuts are the Angry Samoa and Strawberrylab. They’ve got you covered on coffee too, so you can fully enjoy your donut experience with a cup of joe.
Erin McKenna’s Bakery
Larchmont and Santa Monica
Have you ever dreamed of going to a bakery and being able to choose whatever you want? Well you’re in luck because Erin McKenna’s is an all-vegan bakery with two LA locations that makes all the cupcakes, donuts, cookies, crumb cakes, loaves, muffins, cinnamon rolls, mounds, brownies, and specialty cakes your heart desires. They even have vanilla and chocolate soft serve! Plus, everything there isn’t just vegan, but also gluten-free, soy-free, refined sugar-free, non-GMO, and kosher.
Garden Grove, Long Beach, and Orange
If you’re looking for vegan ice cream in the Orange County area, check out Hug Life. With typical flavors like cookies ‘n cream, rocky road, and vanilla bean, plus special ones like their Cookie Butter, Thai Tea, and Honeydew, this vegan ice cream shop has a flavor you’re sure to love. Plus, they offer their Brownie a La Mode (brownie topped with two mini scoops of ice cream, toppings, and drizzle of choice), Ice Cream Sammich (ice cream of choice between two chocolate chip cookies), along with specialty drinks, like milkshakes, floats, and more.
Make the trip to Westlake Village to visit Karma Baker for an abundance of vegan and gluten-free treats—yep, everything they offer is both vegan and gluten-free (plus, mostly soy-free). Extra bonus: it’s all non-GMO, organic, and kosher too. Choose from sweet treats like cake pops, bundt cakes, brownies, custom cakes, and cookies, or try one of their savory delights such as savory pies and pizza rolls. Plus a lot of their items are also available in several markets and health food stores in LA, and/or are available to ship to your home, so you can even get a taste of their creations without having to step out of your door.
Silver Lake and Tarzana
This vegan-friendly soft serve shop has creative and tasty flavors like Corn Almond, Maple Brown Sugar, Key Lime, Chocolate Milk, and more. They also make vegan ice cream pies—their fried pie is a must-try!
Vegan By Victoria’s
East LA and Santa Ana
Ever thought you’d never be able to have vegan pan dulce? Well guess what, Vegan By Victoria’s answered that worry. They’re dishing out vegan pan dulce in abundance—conchas (basically the Mexican version of donuts), bolillos (savory bread stuffed with cream cheese and jalapeños), cookies, flan, a variety of tres leches cake flavors, and a whole lot more. Yes, it’s all vegan—and made fresh daily!
Echo Park and Glendale
For some of the best and healthiest vegan froyo, head to Yoga-urt. They make theirs simply, with a fresh almond milk and cashew base, probiotics, salt, cane sugar (some flavors have no added sugar), and respective flavorings. Options include classics like vanilla and chocolate, along with lots of special ones such as Ganesha’s Sweet Greens and Radiant Golden Rose, plus seasonal flavors as well. They serve other treats as well—ice cream sandwiches and banana splits! It’s all not only vegan, but soy-free, and for the most part, gluten-free.
Yvonne’s Vegan Kitchen
Yvonne’s can meet many of your dessert needs. While this vegan and gluten-free kitchen may not have a storefront, you can find their products all over Southern California at over 50 locations, as well as in their online store. Pick up cookies, cheesecakes, donuts, and even vegan cheese and superfood crackers at your nearest spot, or order all those and more (care packages, platters, custom cakes, pies, etc.) online.
