Sage has a variety of brunch items to enjoy, from classics like pancakes (they’ve got three different kinds) and their All American Vegan, to Mexican dishes like their Breakfast Burrito, to exquisite entrees like their Polenta Frittata, to trendy items like their Acai Bowl or Avocado Toast–there’s something every mom will love.

Wine and dine with mom at Plant Food and Wine, where their menu includes a large organic and biodynamic wine list, along with a food menu of locally-sourced fare, including brunch items like their Bananas Foster Pancakes, Wild Mushroom Sandwich, and Smoked Tofu Florentine.
Enjoy breakfast foods like Lemon Poppyseed Pancakes, nostalgic foods like Grilled Cheese, and pastries like danishes, croissants, doughnuts, plus lots more when you take your mom to brunch at Little Pine. And not only is this restaurant 100% vegan, but all of its profits go to animal organizations.
Chicken & Waffles, French Onion Soup, Mike’s Shakshuka, and more are in store if you take your mom to Crossroads. Plus, this upscale eatery is also the first plant-based restaurant in town to have a full bar with an inspired cocktail program.
Long Beach and Costa Mesa
Get brunch at Seabirds for a taste of some more-unique dishes, including their Porque Maria–a sandwich of smoked sliced tofu, cashew “gruyere” cheese, and arugula on toasted sourdough, sprinkled with powdered sugar, and served with a side of fresh fruit. Or try their Purple Taquitos–3 purple corn tortillas filled with purple potatoes, and topped with chipotle sour cream, fermented curtido, almond feta, and cilantro.
Downtown LA and Culver City
If mom’s a sushi lover, go to Shojin for some of the best sushi around. Their menu features sushi rolls with names like Crunchy Tiger, Purple Treasure 3.1, and Yellow Magic Orchestra. They also have lots of appetizers, salads, soups, and even ramen too.

Do dishes like White Truffle Pizza, The All American Skillet, Buckwheat and Cornmeal Pancakes, or Super Sun Nachos sound appetizing? Then celebrate mom by heading to organic SunCafe for all that and more.
