10 Spots for Vegan Bar Food in Los Angeles

Beelman’s is a totally-plant-based pub in Downtown LA. Head there for bar snacks like pretzels, street food such as Stinkin’ Fries and Tachos (tater tot nachos), and mains like Impossible Burger creations, hot dogs, the Loco Moco Bowl (made with Impossible meat), and more. If you’re feeling like something a little lighter, they’ve got salads and a Buddha bowl too. Drink offerings include draft beers, cans, regular and frozen cocktails, and wines.
Golden Road Brewing
Downtown LA, Atwater Village, and Anaheim
Check out any of Golden Road’s locations to find lots of beers on tap and vegan food, like their Pretzel Mac, Fried Artichoke Hearts, vegan Fried “Calamari,” Portobello Burger, and vegan Fish & Chips. Each of the locations’ offerings are a little different, so be sure to browse the menus online for details.
The Stalking Horse Pub
For a traditional British pub, look no further than the Stalking Horse. This spot offers a British pub setting filled with an assortment of beers and full-bar, plus four different vegan savory pies (including a Chicken Pot Pie and Cottage Pie), two different Cornish pasties, salads, burgers, and a vegan Fish & Chips option.
Tony’s Darts Away
Tony’s Darts Away in Burbank offers lots of vegan options, California draft beer, wine, and cider. Try the Vegan Buffalo Wings or one of the six different vegan sausage options such as Crispy’s Chili Dog and Beer Brat. Check out their greens and wraps or, better yet, go for the Bulls-Eye Burger–two Impossible burger patties, vegan bacon, vegan provolone, BBQ sauce, and frizzled onions, all on a donut croissant bun!
Fresh to the scene is Bluebird Brasserie. They just opened and are dishing up vegan options, like their Cheese Croquette; Boulettes & Stoemp (Belgian meatballs, mashed vegetables, leek relish), Housemade Seitan Steak; a Roasted Tomato, Sauce Verte, Almond Ricotta sandwich; Cassoulet; and Gaufres de Liege (Belgian waffle served with Van Leeuwen ice cream and Biscoff syrup). And, of course, you will find lots of beer, wine, and cocktail options as well.
Link N Hops
Atwater Village and Tujunga
Along with plenty of beer on tap, a few bottles, and wine, Link N’ Hops’ sausage-centered menu includes five different vegan sausages–Vegan Italian, Beerbrat, Smoked Apple, Tofurky Kielbasa, and Spicy Pepper. Plus, they’ve got vegan topping and sauce options such as veggies, vegan cheese, spicy Hawaiian plum BBQ sauce, spicy ketchup, and curry ketchup. Sharing with friends? The Vegan Platter comes with a Beerbrat, Tofurky Kielbasa, Smoked Apple sausages, and Belgian fries.
Gastropub Mohawk Bend has so many vegan options to choose from, plus beer, wine, and cocktails. All their food items are vegan unless marked “NV” for “not vegan.” Try out their popular Buffalo Cauliflower, Steak & Potatoes, one of their many pizzas or burgers, and even desserts, like the Happy Camper S’mores, vegan Cast Iron Chocolate Chip Cookie, and Seasonal Cobbler.
Sixth St. Tavern
Sixth St. Tavern is another spot with vegan offerings and plenty of drinks. Try the fries, beer nuts, wings, mashed potatoes, salad, reuben sandwich, meatball hero, or their special vegan meatloaf made with the Impossible Burger. Wash it down with a vegan vanilla milkshake, or check out the baked-to-order apple cobbler and chocolate chip cookie.
Sage Plant Based Bistro
Culver City, Echo Park, and Pasadena
Sage isn’t just a restaurant–they’ve got a great bar selection too. They proudly serve house-brewed beers at all locations, as well as a full menu of craft beer, wine, and cocktails. Plus, they’ve got pizza, pretzels, nachos, wings, and more–all vegan!
Tuning Fork is another gastropub that serves up vegan dishes and drinks. Get a taste of items, like their Vegan Shepherd’s Pie, or their Shaggy Lentil, a house-made quinoa lentil patty, plus hummus, veggies, and hot sauce in a whole-wheat pita bread, and served with house-made chips. Or try their Vegan Gluten-Free Brownie that’s topped with vegan ice cream and berries.
