It’s lemony kale, purple cabbage, quinoa, chickpeas, shredded carrots, sunflower sprouts, micro greens, avocado, hummus, tahini, and a lemon wedge to squeeze on top – so many ingredients that you can’t go wrong with. You can also add your choice of falafels for an extra $3 – choose from original, spicy, crunchy, sweet potato, or kale.

Fans of tuna salad will want to try out Powerplant’s Good Karma “Tuna” Salad. This is dilled chickpea “tuna salad,” baby kale, pickled red onions, caper paste, and choice of dressing (avocado ginger, thyme vinaigrette, Caesar, or charred lemon/black garlic/mint – all are vegan)

If you’re looking for somewhere to make your own salad, you should definitely try out Palette. You can request an unlimited amount of different ingredients in your salad bowl, and see it being assembled right in front of you – make any combination of local greens, grains, beans, roasted and fresh vegetables, fermented fixings (i.e. sauerkraut and pickled red onions), and sauces. You can also add tempeh for $4 extra. Except for the obvious stuff, like proteins beside tempeh and their honey tahini sauce, it’s all vegan.

You may usually head to by CHLOE for a burger and fries or some of their mac n’ cheese, but next time, try another one of their more popular items, their Quinoa Taco salad. This salad includes chopped romaine, quinoa, spicy seitan chorizo, black beans, sweet corn, avocado, tomato, tortilla strips, and is drizzled with tofu crema and agave-lime vinaigrette. You can add on green hummus, tempeh, avocado, or herbed tofu feta for extra too.

Thought that was pretty enough? If you’re lucky, you’ll also get a cute slice of pink and green watermelon radish on top of it all. It’s like the new cherry on top.

Although it’s not a vegan restaurant, À Vôtre Santé has a whole vegan menu, on which they have their Vegetarian Tostada. It’s a toasted whole-wheat tortilla (or gluten-free, brown rice tortilla) filled with black bean chili, lettuce, tomato, avocado, and sprouts, and tahini. You can also add organic tofu for $2.95. Because the tortilla is toasted and filled with wholesome ingredients, it’s a perfect alternative to the typically oily, deep-fried tostada.
