La Kai Bakery is a vegan micro-bakery in Chicago that caters to food allergies. Founders Theresa and Micheal were inspired to create vegan allergy-friendly treats after discovering their children were allergic to eggs and tree nuts. The couple advocates for the food allergy community and specializes in vegan gluten-free desserts including VegOut favorites, the Lani Cookie (dark chocolate, Dandies marshmallows, and UnReal gems) and Almond Chocolate Chip Cookies. These soft and chewy confections ship nationwide (except Hawaii & Alaska) and can be customized depending on allergens. Fun Fact: Lā and Kai are the Hawaiian names of the couple’s sons and stand for sun and sea or seawater.

Mo'Pweeze Bakery in New Jersey is free of the top 10 allergens. The business was created after the owner, Christine Allen, needed to start baking allergy-friendly treats for her husband and children. The Black-owned bakery makes a dessert that is chewy, soft in the middle, and chock full of chocolate chips for everyone to enjoy! Order by the dozen, and don’t forget to add in a couple extras! Courtney’s Cookies are organic, vegan, gluten-free, soy-free and nutrient-dense. They use whole food, superfood ingredients such as tigernut flour and coconut sugar.
